William P. Janvier

Since graduating with Honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1992, Bill has focused his practice on representation before the Bankruptcy Court and on financial restructuring. Bill is a board certified specialist in both business and consumer bankruptcy. He represents businesses and individuals in financial distress, as well as lenders with problem loans. He has served on the Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees appointed by the Bankruptcy Court to administer Chapter 7 cases, has previously served as the chairman of the state bar association’s bankruptcy section, has previously chaired both the continuing education committee and ethics committee of the bankruptcy section, and currently serves on the local rules committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of North Carolina.

Both inside and outside of bankruptcy, Bill has participated in the reorganization or liquidation of businesses in a wide variety of industries, ranging from retail stores to manufacturing companies to restaurants to technology companies to contractors to residential and commercial developers to apartment complexes to office buildings to shopping centers to health care providers to farms.

Samantha Y. Moore

Samantha Moore grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio. She attended the University of Toledo and graduated magna cum laude in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Samantha then moved to North Carolina and began working with the Guardian ad Litem Program as an AmeriCorps VISTA. A year later she was hired as the Program Supervisor for Columbus and Bladen Counties.

In May of 2009, Samantha graduated cum laude from North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she received the Outstanding Law Student Award from the National Association of Women Lawyers and the North Carolina Bar Association certificate for superior commitment to public service. While at Central, Samantha was a staff member of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law Review and earned publication of her co-authored Comment entitled No More Than A “Shot” in the Dark: Civil Liability Under the Vaccine Act in 2009. In addition, Samantha participated in the Women’s Law Caucus serving as a two-term President, the Elder Law Pro Bono Project, and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.

William F. Braziel III

Billy Braziel grew up in Savannah, Georgia. He attended Appalachian State University and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a double minor in Business and Psychology.

In May of 2009, Billy graduated cum laude from North Carolina Central University School of Law. While at Central, Billy worked in the Small Business Clinic and interned with the Brewer Law Firm in Raleigh. Billy has been representing debtors from all forms of collection in and out of Bankruptcy Court for the past five years, and he concentrates his practice on representation of individuals and businesses before the Bankruptcy Court.

In 2012, Billy was selected as a Rising Star from Super Lawyers Magazine. At the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys’ 2013 National Conference in New York City, he gave a presentation on means testing issues with a non-filing spouse. Every year Billy returns to Central’s bankruptcy course to discuss current bankruptcy issues in an effort to keep law students updated on the annual changes in bankruptcy law.
